Two police officers searching a young man and his dog. Basquiat Pat Down is Banksy's witty salute to a fellow street legend.
The artwork
Banksy painted it on a wall of the Barbican Centre in London in 2017, just as the gallery opened its major Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibition. He borrowed figures from Basquiat's 1982 painting Boy and Dog in a Johnnypump, then surrounded them with uniformed officers, a sharp comment on how the art world treats graffiti.
In your space
A street art print for a teen bedroom, lounge or workspace. It pairs with concrete, raw brick and industrial lighting.
Pairs well with
Peel Fiction, another London wall piece with a mischievous twist.
